Anthony and Chris Tarro own and manage both Siena Restaurant, located in Providence RI, and Siena Cucina · Enoteca, located in East Greenwich.

Located in the heart of Providence's Federal Hill, Siena Restaurant was opened in 2005 and features authentic Tuscan cuisine in a warm and lively atmosphere. While the brothers were raised in Warwick, R.I., their family has deep roots in the Italian-American community on Federal Hill making it the perfect location for their first restaurant.

Siena Cucina · Enoteca opened in 2007 just a few miles from where they grew up. Siena Cucina · Enoteca compliments the trusted menu from the original Siena Restaurant, with many of the warm touches and great food found in kitchens and wine bars all over Italy.

Anthony's passion for food began at home watching his mother prepare meals for the family. He began working in food service in high school and has not stopped since. He is a graduate of the RI School of Design - Culinary Arts Program and earned his bachelor's degree in Food Service Management from Johnson and Wales University. He has studied Tuscan cuisine in Bologna, Italy.

Anthony has spent 20 years mastering his specialty of Italian cuisine. His accomplishments include being honored as chef of the year by the RI chapter of the American Culinary Federation and acting as chef for President George H. Bush on a visit to Rhode Island.

His proudest achievement to date is his family: his lovely wife Patricia and their three children Olivia, Isabella, and Sophia.

Chris shares his brother's passion. He too has spent the better part of his life working in food service. He is an accomplished businessman, specializing in the food and beverage industry. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Syracuse University and received his MBA from the University of Maryland. He studied economics at the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Chris has worked as a sales representative for a New England-based liquor distributor and as a brand manager for a global food corporation. He has a keen understanding of what makes a concept, in this case the complete dining experience, accessible to the consumer.

He is supported in this endeavor by his wife Tejal and sons Christopher and Nicholas.

Siena evolved out of Anthony's ardor for Tuscan cuisine, which is fresh, simple and unfettered. Time spent in Italy has had a significant impact on Anthony and Chris. The traditions of Tuscany have forever changed their conception of the art of the meal. The idea of translating these traditions to a modern American setting seemed very exciting to both. Hence, Siena - Tuscan Soul Food was born.
